ACADEMIC SUPPORT THAT FUELS STUDENTS' DREAMS

Helping students and athletes improve their test taking abilities to achieve increased scores, gaining new admissions, scholarship opportunities, and fostering success at the collegiate level.

High School 9:12 launched its first academic boot camp at Lee High School in January 2019.

Students were taught test-taking strategies to not only improve their standardized test scores, but to increase their overall confidence in their test-taking abilities.

"WE ARE ABLE TO INVEST IN THEM AND THEY ARE ABLE TO KNOW THAT PEOPLE truly care ABOUT THEM."

- High School Region Superintendent Scott Schneider

THE NEED

High schoolers have demanding schedules and personal challenges. Whether it’s sports practice or band practice, homework or work (or you know, occasionally sleep), students may lack the time or resources to study for the SAT and ACT. This can be especially frustrating for students who find success in the classroom but struggle to translate that success into test scores. Truth is, test scores are crucial- Florida Bright Futures and college scholarships depend on successful scores.

BOOT CAMPS

Based on established criteria, students will be put through a six-week SAT/ACT Boot Camp to improve their scores. The Tutoring Club, our official academic partner, is a unique test prep company that uses data and outside-the-box methods to make sure that each student focuses only on the question types that matter most to their score. Students receive customized reports following each diagnostic test, and the classes are run as interactive workshops.

SCHOLARSHIPS

It’s TEST day. Higher ACT and SAT scores allow students to be competitive for scholarships.  High School 9:12 representatives and the Tutoring Club's tutors work with guidance counselors to maximize student scholarships, allowing them to attend college and earn a diploma, changing the course of their career and life.

DREAM ACCOMPLISHED

For those who thought college was out of reach due to their family and financial situation, the High School 9:12 program seeks to help make their academic and athletic dreams possible.
